I can vaguely remember a time when I was a middle school drama geek, and one of my classmates decided to perform A Chorus Line’s “Dance: Ten; Looks: Three” in preparation for an upcoming audition. For a group of 13-year-olds, a song with lyrics about “tits and ass” was giggle-worthy to say the least, and it got us thinking about a musical that we might otherwise ignore in favor of RENT or The Producers. The North Charleston Performing Arts Center will present the original meta-musical as part of its continuing Best of Broadway series. Watch as 17 dancers give it their all in an audition for an upcoming Broadway production. Luckily, the performance isn’t a “One”-night only event. Sorry. I just had to throw that pun in there. —Susan Cohen
