Long-running local pop/rock band Jasmine Attic provides the jams at the Benefit for the Family of Marshall Hoge on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Hoge, a local real estate appraiser and fishing enthusiast, passed away unexpectedly last November at the age of 36. He died of pancreatitis shortly after seeking treatment. He is survived by his wife and two small children, one of which he adopted when his sister died in an accident. Sunday’s pig pickin’ and oyster roast at Lighthouse on the Creek (located on Shem Creek at 100 Church St.) is a benefit aiming to raise money for the children. Beer, nonalcoholic drinks, chili, and hot dogs will be available. Jasmine Attic will perform a variety of classic and modern rock tunes and originals. Kids activities are planned as well. All funds benefit the Hoge family.
