A 19-year-old traveling home from a local gay bar raised an officer’s suspicions because there was an open box of wine and two empty bottles of Smirnoff Ice in the car.

I heard from Ian Johnson of OutNow again last week and he clued me in on the identity of the "low level" SCPRT who had supposedly resigned. When I hear it from the mouth of the employee in question, Rand Romaine, that he has indeed left his job (and not been reassigned somewhere else, promoted or demoted in the SCPRT), then I'll believe it.

              Sorry for the late notice:

Big GAY Beach DAY

CHAMP (Charleston Area Mpowerment Project) is proud to announce the return of Big Gay Beach Day 5.0! This free event is open to the public and will take place on Saturday July 19th at Folly Beach, 11am – 5pm. Along with informal volley ball games, prizes will be awarded in our sand sculpting contest, relay race, and Lube Wrestling Contest. Our traditional Tug Of War men vs. women will end the day—last year the ladies won, so let’s see who’s got it this year! Free Red Bull ™ will be available. Donations are encouraged. Please remember Folly rules: alcohol is permitted (no open containers, no glass—bring a koozie); no pets; park with your tires off the pavement going with the flow of traffic. All are welcome! The event is sponsored by Patrick’s Bar & Grille, Red Bull ™, and Hardee Marine Sheet Metal.
