      <![CDATA[If it's true that subsidies to the film industry are a benefit to tax payers than I wonder why the South Carolina Policy Council is claiming the exact opposite: that extensive studies suggest subsidies to the movie industry are a net loss to tax payers? Do these studies take in to account that film crews collect significant unemployment benefits between movies and are reluctant to work on low budget films if it pays less than the SC unemployment they collect, and the film industry and broadcast industry in general exploits free labor with internships?
