<![CDATA[Back in the day, my 2 favorite drummers were Levon Helm and Charlie Watts, kind of an odd couple on the surface but their stock-in-trade was an almost off-hand appearance, seemingly sitting in the background, no flash, but steady as an electronic metronome, with just the perfect texture for every piece they played..Listen to an old Band or Stones tune and block out the drumtrack. All of a sudeen that music loses half it's feeling.
