      <![CDATA[And why, with a graduate program in architecture, did Clemson have to go with an archiectural firm from Portland , Or.? They had no one on staff capable, or because they didn't want to take the hit for designing the style they wanted, but knew Charleston would dislike?

This building is a crime against everything that the aesthetics of old Charleston stands for and a testament to the fact that American architects no longer consider aesthetics in their design.
