The White House declined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's request on Tuesday to meet U.S. President Barack Obama during a UN conference in New York at the end of the month.
An official in Jerusalem said that the prime minister's office sent the White House a message stating that although Netanyahu will spend only two and a half days on U.S. soil, he is interested in meeting Obama and is willing to travel to the U.S. capital specifically for that purpose.

"On this basis, today only the Americans have taken a threatening stance towards the Islamic Republic," Fadavi said. "If the Americans commit the smallest folly they will not leave the region safely."

Imagine the good that could have been done domestically, how we could have made Americans' lives better, with all the money that we have poured into war trying to make life better for people thousands of miles away (who by the way hate us).

You do know that Mitt Romney's foreign policy team are pretty much all ex-Bush Jr. people and that the RNC Platform on foreign policy directly references an "American Century" in terms very much like the PNAC, don't you Jack?

I wouldn't say that there's a shift in the GOP's focus on this - they're merely keeping it quiet this year because they absolutely cannot run on foreign policy this year. They started and failed to fund two wars and failed to "get" bin Laden.
