      <![CDATA[Neev - With the accolades flooding Charleston it's getting hard *not* to eat at a JBF award winning chef's restaurant. ;-) In all seriousness, the chefs who are doing those ventures typically are not going to be slumming it at the lower end.

      <![CDATA[The "hot" usually become "old Standbyes" if they can hang. Though, I'm guessing most of these chefs have a daily goal of being "fresh and hot" That's what keeps a chef alive and the restaurant "the place to go"

      <![CDATA[Perhaps Shocksplicer has something of a point. With just a few exceptions, some of the grand old standbys are not mentioned or play second fiddle simply because, well, they are indeed  grand old standbys and not presently part of the "hot list"....
