I think the point being made by the article here is a much larger one, that one selfish move on the part of a dishonest man, who wasn't happy unless things went his way, impacted people at even the most personal level. He was on the bridge throwing a hissy fit because his Lexus SUV was going to be repossessed and it had a trickle down effect that caused this lady's cat to die a traumatic way.

I think that's what this story was trying to get across.

I found myself in the same horrible traffic. I experienced it from Mt. Pleasant, downtown Charleston, I-26 to the airport, and from 526 to Savannah Highway.
