      <![CDATA[Well Matchew, if admission, rentals, and snacks are enough to make a skate park profitable, why do we need to pay for it with tax dollars? After all, we don't have publicly funded rollerskating or ice skating rinks.<br>

      <![CDATA[the 'skate park' that you refer to is not much of a skate park at all. Built in 2003 or so it was only supposed to be a temporary fix for a few years until the real park was built.
