I have an adopted little boy and we used Eats on Feets, now Human Milk for Human Babies to get him breast milk. Breast Milk is so important and I got to meet with all the moms they shared their medical and social history with me, I felt very assured that my little boy was getting wonderful milk.

I love the fact that mothers are sharing their milk like this, for free, and I have participated in breastmilk sharing via Eats On Feets. I agree with Emma that selling it would add an element to milk sharing that would worry me.
To the above poster: You are so right!

To the above poster: You are so right! I also read that the lactoferrin is mostly destroyed by the milk bank process and I think that is one of the most valuable elements in breastmilk.

A friend told me her baby was having trouble latching and her milk was drying up. I, too, was breastfeeding, and mentioned I had some of my milk in the freezer, and she was welcome to it if she wanted it.

There are many mothers out there who for medical reasons, adoption, etc. who can’t breastfeed. Along with the high cost of formula are opting to actually do what’s best for their child and give them donor breast milk.
