As most of you are well aware, I am working on my own documentary film called “Waveless Summer.” It will feature pseudo-surfers who will travel around the globe in search of beaches without waves. Folly Beach, SC will be featured as one of the sites in this movie.

Paddling out on a bright blue sunny day early in the morning..no one anywhere in sight...just the pelicans and a samll but glassy set rolling in..sure maybe its smallish but ...A waste of time?...a waste of time is when i feel compelled to comment on your negative post. Spoiled may be the key word.

The washout at Folly will be a nationally respected surf locale when it can produce waves which isn't likely to happen in my lifetime.

Unfortunately, our beaches do not have the degree of steepness needed for decent waves on a regular basis.
