The answer to the question posed in the headline is an obvious and emphatic yes. Corporations representing a variety of polluting industries (and the politicians they purchase along with their willing stenographers like Jack Hunter) are corrupting the discourse around climate change to undermine the overwhelming consensus among scientists and citizens across the globe that we need to make changes to decrease pollution.

Even the tobacco companies never tried to slander legitimate cancer researchers.’ Well, probably they did, but point taken.”
“There is, in fact, a climate conspiracy.

I believe we need to be diligent in our efforts to pollute less, find cleaner energy, respect the earth and her resources. What would be wrong to live with "no regrets"?

You're comparing idiotic, fringe beliefs held 100 years or more ago about race and homophobia with the overwhelming science that demonstrates that global warming is as good as fact? That's utterly ridiculous and demonstrates a dire understanding of basic science - let alone climate science.
As you've already set it up as a politically-motivated divide, let's continue: you conservatives appear to revel and take pride in your ignorance and scientific illiteracy.

Even animals going extinct is normal as sad as that is it has happened since life developed.
