<![CDATA[Its a terrible shame that Peter has taken the course that he has chosen. Holy Trinity has survived a great deal of tragedy and scandal over the last twenty-five years and Peter has decided to risk the survival of its congregation with an unproven therapy that seemingly works only well enough to curb behavior.

<![CDATA[nicole ~ Like you're soooooo adding to any intelligent conversation here that will go on for more than maybe two more posts, or wait... maybe you even wrote a letter that might actually be published in print... just in the city paper just in the next issue, about homosexuality without a forgivemesque presumption of even bringing it up in the first place... And maybe I do like to hear/read myself talk/write, but my point was that these articles and discussions on homosexuality and the gay culture in charleston in general are extremely shallow, and I don't just mean that in a personality type way.

How is it that believing someone has control over their desires and choices translate into catering
into a belief that people are inherently lazy and ignorant? Whether or not you believe that a homosexual can be "cured" or not, that statement doesn't even make sense.

Regardless of how one feels about the credibility of reparitive therapy or his success with it, I would hope that most readers would not infer that he's in any way dangerous to anyone, as implied in a comment above.
