It's great to have such variety of art in Charleston and such great sponsors of events such as Red Bull. I hope you all come see the photography in Marion square and keep in mind that in a short few months Marion Square will be the venue for many fine artists who exhibit during the Piccolo Spoleto festival, May 28th.

Information specific to the Run in Remembrance race on April 16th, 2010:

Please join some Hokies this Friday in a 3.2 mile Run in Remembrance to honor the 32 students and teachers that we lost at Virginia Tech 3 years ago on April 16th.

We will start at Marion Square in Downtown (near the corner of King and Calhoun) Look for a VT flag.

Meeting at 5:30pm (Run will start promptly at 6:00pm, rain or shine)

There is no registration and unfortunately no free T-shirt (this year...)

Please wear orange and maroon shirts!

Why we are doing this and Important information:

Since we can't make it to the official 3.2 Run in Remembrance in Blacksburg, we decided to do our own smaller version here in Charleston.

Charleston Fashion Week 2008 is definately bigger, not sure about better, than last year. With the exception of some seating issues in the VIP section, virtually empty VIP gift bags, and a store owner (K. Morgan) crashing into the middle of the new and much longer runway, it seemed to get off to a good start.
