I'm so excited to try this place. Charleston desperately needed an all day breakfast joint. It could really use some straight up diners in general, and this seems like a step towards that. Can't wait to see how they do pancakes!

Lucky's on James Island means no one EVER needs to eat at Ruby Tuesday's again. Great brunch too! Good prices, large portions, delicious food. Kitchen has been slow putting out food 3/5 times I've eaten there, though. Hope that gets better!

It's a great menu, but the atmosphere is not what I'd call family-friendly. It definitely focuses on the huge bar in the center of the restaurant that makes the place very loud, and the service is a bit slow for the families with younger children. I wish it had more of a diner vibe than a bar vibe.

As a point of clarification, most of the elementary magnet schools in charleston operate primarily by a lottery system, the very definition of luck. See: buist, community Montessori, east cooper, orange grove, St. Andrews, Ashley river, James Simons, etc., not to mention the non-magnet schools that now accept transfers from failing schools using a lottery system. Luck is very much a factor in our local system.
