Re: “DeSano Pizza Bakery

TERRIFIC pizzas. Once the dough and toppings are combined it only takes 60-90 seconds to bake followed by table delivery by very pleasant staff. I will be going back again and again for sure. This is the GO-TO place for pizza in the greater metropolitan area!

I've always said if I had a restaurant that featured "specialties" there would be no substitutions allowed. Failure would be swift, assured my family. The menu at Desano's is ALL "specialties" and there are NO substitutions: they have their reasons and they make sense if your interested, and I was. Desano's confidence in this concept and the superb quality of the product will prove my family can occasionally be wrong. When the craving sets in I only hope there's an available table or else I'll have to get it to go and eat it in the parking lot.

Re: “Jumbo pizza slice spot Benny Palmetto's opens today

That's about a $28 margin on the cheese pie. Maybe more. More than enough to pay Mt P rent.

Re: “The internet is now just another form of television

So, unequal users get equal service. If you only use the internet for emails and to pay bills and don't stream or play online games why should you have to pay for a network that supports that kind of activity. If you need or want more or less the ISPs should be allowed to provide it at different levels of cost.

Re: “From knackwurst to Tex-Mex, 5 bites of restaurant news

My first visit to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in 1974 was the location near the New Orleans fairgrounds and every cut of steak was $8.00 except the porterhouse for two, it was $16.00. One time a client of mine ate the porterhouse for two at lunch. As I recall the filet was as thick as the water glass was high. A lot has happened since. Mostly good, but not exceptional, food and service.

Re: “Charleston Water System goes to bat for HomeServe

This action by CWS might, just might, lower my water bill. It also reinforces my decision long ago to subscribe to all the coverage offered by HomeServe (exterior water service line, exterior sewer/septic line, and interior plumbing & drainage.
