Re: “Pollo Loko Peruvian

Good every time we go. We live in Mount Pleasant and don't get down Dorchester that much, but we sometimes make the special trip.

While we like several menu items, I have to say my favorite is the tongue sandwich. Yes I know! "Tongue?!?" That's the typical American response anytime I suggest this menu item. I'm a "normal" American redneck and I can't get enough of the tongue sandwich at this place! Seriously!

Be adventurous and step outside your comfort zone every now and then.

Re: “La Norteña

Best Mexican in the Charleston area.

There may be better in California or Texas, but this is South Carolina...and moe specifically Charleston. La Nortena is the best.

Re: “New PPP poll shows Colbert Busch expanding lead

Colbert's strategy of not going one-on-one w/Sanford seems to be paying off.

Re: “CLOSINGS: Cesca, Bubba Slye's, 17 North, Abe's

2 million in sales does not necessarily translate into a single dollar of profit. Management is key. It's not easy spending millions and then trying to turn a profit.

Re: “Charleston GOP chair claims Obama giving away cell phones to voters

The real shame is that these people actually think it is Obama giving them this stuff. Like it isn't there without them. They'll vote him back in and continue to live in their false pipe dream.

Re: “Momma Brown’s to close on Halloween

No they have not reopened anywhere, nor have I heard any further rumors of such. I would open a barbecue place in MtP with classic vinegar & mustard sauces, but this just seems like a very iffy economy right now. You never know if the old adage "if you build it, they will come" will play out or not. I miss having a decent bbq place in East Cooper. The other places in the area do not appeal to me or my wife in the least.
