Emily Peterkin, if someone took a picture of you and used it to promote a product that cost you your job, would you agree that you were promoting the product? Given the quality of your logic, it sounds like CSU would be a good place for you, but please do not subject your poor kids to it.
The long-term Strategic Plan put forward by President Benson, with extensive input from the CofC community, does not propose moving the institution toward becoming a research university nor toward a merger with MUSC. The article or Benson is misrepresenting the plan.
Scratching my head about the tone and content of some of these posts. The post of WolfS in particular is non-sensical. The writer did not praise "the College" for its past inattention to the problem, she praised the current administration for its attention to the problem. The current administration cannot do anything about the past other than to now follow a proper policy. She was not here to comment about the validity of the criminal aspects of the case, which is neither her expertise nor her interest, which was to focus on the response of the College. And she certainly didn't write this from the point of view of the College as one of its shill employees. Anyone who knows her knows she is writing independently about her views based on her reading of the released documents and does not take these issues lightly. It makes sense for her to praise the current response of the College if it is to be encouraged, and it seems like most of the people speaking against her feel that it should be encouraged. Signed, a bit baffled.
