The individual was carrying a fully loaded revolver *with extra rounds*. THE OFFICER'S SUSPICION WAS COMPLETELY WARRANTED! He reacted to the behavior of the individual, and very well may have prevented a serious violent crime.
Mmm, sounds delicious.. but $30 for tater tots and beer?!
I watched the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee video as well and was not impressed by much of the misinformed commentary by our representatives. The bottom line is that we shouldn't hold breweries to a different / higher standard than any other establishment that serves alcohol. Having said that, the 16oz tasting (free) + 48oz additional on-site consumption (cost) wouldn't prevent people from trying more than 4 beers. Nobody said the additional 48oz had to be sold in pints. Basically, they could give away 4 4oz samples and sell up to 12 more 4oz glasses if they wanted to. It's actually better (from a tourism perspective) that the breweries can give away up to 16oz without having to charge. The liability insurance requirement is the real kicker - hopefully Sen. Bennett will address that absurdity...
