Re: “Lawmakers revisiting South Carolina's sex ed laws

John Clary is a great example on why these numbers are so clear. Abstinence ONLY education does no good. A good amount of teens WILL have sex that is just a fact that many parents choose to ignore. ALL teenagers need to be taught the consequences of sex and how to prevent them, yes they should wait, but many will not and they need to be taught how to use birth control measures to prevent STI's and unwanted pregnancies. Planned Parenthood prevents allot more pregnancies and therefore abortions then the amont of abortions they profit from. They have education on all birth control right on their website and if your lucky to be in a state you can also have access to free birth control such as condoms and the pill. Parents need to wake up and talk to theri children about sex. Schools should be allowed to teach about sex and if a parent does not like it they can yank them out. I am sooo glad I do not live in SC!
