Re: “Twenty years of secular humanism in Charleston

I'm truly tired of being told I have to be respectful of others' beliefs, which I am, but asked to shut up about my non-belief. Tolerance is a two-way street. Stop forcing your belief system down my throat at every turn and using my tax dollars to fund it, and I will stop taking about being godless.

Re: “4 ways Mark Sanford allegedly violated his divorce agreement

I can't stop laughing over the fact that the party of "family values" keeps telling Dems that Sanford's adultery, et cetera, is none of the voters' business. Try not to choke on that hypocrisy as it leaves your mouth.

Re: “Gay marriage is not a simple step forward

Ned, I can assure you that for a soldier standing next to an IED, knowing that his partner at home will not get survivorship benefits is not "social issue bullshit." For the mother dying of cancer who is afraid her evangelical parents will sue her partner for custody of young children -- and probably win -- this "social issue bullshit" is every bit as important as the corporate criminality that broke our economy.
