I have been to Burwell's and am actually going again tonight. I personally love the "Rock Candy"! I'm no chef, but have to say it was some of the best flavor I've tasted in a while. If someone ends up accidentally over cooking that particular cut then they have no business ordering it in the first place. The best thing you can do is "kiss" the beef of the hot rock. Rare is better. I for one did not share the same experience as the writer of this article and recommend everyone find out for themselves. Burwell's is one of my favorite new restaurants in Charleston and I plan to continue eating and drinking there. I know any friends I bring there will enjoy the unique cocktails, great food & fun atmosphere.
