I giggled reading this, and I needed that after days of covering the Wounded Warrior Games, let me tell you.
I have to admit the only reason I watch this show is because of your articles. There's gotta be a way to get you some kick-backs for this.
We all know this isn't real and the majority of these people aren't Charlestonians, much less, South Carolinians! But it's been fun to watch alongside your posts. I hope they let you keep this up next season! (That's what she/he said!)
I am so glad to read this. I haven't watched this show as I'm unclear on what channel it airs, but then I've been trying to win HGTV houses for years and only recently discovered their channel number.
Keep it up and I will never have to figure out when or where Southern Charm airs. And oh gosh, I didn't realize Southern Charm shortened is SC. That makes me sad.
He lost me with his put down of cocker spaniels.
The pick of the guy checking for shrinkage is awesome.
Let me preface this with stating I am a Lowcountry girl but have been temporarily living in Memphis for the past 14 years so I'm a bit prejudiced toward the Holy City.
I spent the good part of the morning after the Carolina/Vandy game searching for a place to take my child for breakfast in downtown Nashville. After combing Broadway and 1st Street and Church, I finally entered one of the CVB's centers and inquired as to a location. Well, most, if not all, of the breakfast places are inside the huge office buildings and don't have signage. Many are cafeteria style places with a side of Chick-fil-A or the like.
We ended up grabbing a box of Chick-fil-A nuggets from an office building across the street from the CVB center, right as the cafeteria closed at ten a.m. and wouldn't reopen until after eleven. We took his nuggets to an ice cream shop, you read it right, an ice cream shop, on Broadway where I was able to get a coffee and a bagel.
We spent a week in downtown Charleston recently and dined at a different, and lovely, sit-down restaurant for breakfast each morning.
The problem with Nashvegas is everyone parties in the honky tonks until the wee hours and the town doesn't wake up until after four.
Give me Charleston any day of the week over Nashvegas!
