I myself have just started publishing my books with Kindle Direct and CreateSpace. I love the concept and I am glad I waiting 17 years to self-publish my books. Like Howey's story I want control over my own work. And I am glad that he thinks like a business man to walk away from all of those offers. Too many people would just settle for the payout. While the good old boy networks continue making a killing off us independent writers.
I am looking forward to the day that I sell over 250,000 copies of my best work. You are an inspiration to all who live to dream the day.
Re: “Hugh Howey doesn't need a publisher, thank you very much”
