It would seem that trying to explain something like this to a Clempson guy is a waste of time. Look at how WELL they have taken care of William Perry if you want an example of what the Clemson Nation thinks of their former players.
As for Haley's intent, who knows or cares. There is little of any intelligence or value coming from the Governor's mansion of late, that is for sure.
I suggest the orange and white crowd worry more about what kind of REAL head coach you will be able to get when you are finally done paying Tommy to NOT coach.
I for one, will hate to see old Datboy go...

Only an idiot would give a kid a scholarship for "as long as he/she wanted it." If you really think the Clemson is doing this you are serously deluded. By NCAA rule a scholarship is for ONE year at a time.
Do you have a job for life, no matter what you do, or how you perform?
Perhaps a "Rich Uncle" takes care of things when the chips are down. There seem to be a lot of Rich Uncles up there around Pickens Tech.
