ROFLMAO @ Matt. No I never accused you of astroturf, just ad hominem which seems to be the favorite tactic of leftists when the facts don't back up their statements.
Yes, I know. And that person (whose name I have corrected from your comment) made a comment about libertarians and smoking bans, which is what brought you here because that is what you are paid to do. You probably have a google alert set for those words and maybe a couple of other key phrases and then you just wade right in with your studies and facts. . .
And none of you smoking ban activist disproved any of those facts. I am also a TEA party member so I am quite aware of these lame tactics of making baseless accusations like racist,the bogus war on women,class warfare etc etc etc.
I am not a paid activist and if I were it would change nothing. I post on what I believe in and back it up with my name. If I ever do make a profit from my activities it would fit right in with my Libertarian/capitalist beliefs. I'll stick with the facts and you are quite free to ramble about non issues. Here is a classic example of where those pesky facts get in the way of leftist activist.
LMFAO @ Matt, don't flatter yourself. I didn't even notice you were here. I followed this link because of a comment made by MoreThanAWeekEndWarrier as I was curious what it was about.. I watched the video and I will say that it's not my cup of tea, but I would not deny his right to do it? I also love your lack of integrity. You are accusing me of astroturf? I post on my own using my "real name" so the world can see what I post. Want the definition for astroturf?
I notice you didn't defend the things that you posted either the BS you posted on smoking bans or Libertarians.
You can't show how I have ever engaged in any sort of astroturf in any way shape manner or form. I can however show how smoking ban activist like you have engaged in such tactics.
I guess that your posts can't withstand scrutiny, perhaps you shouldn't post them on the internet for all to see and comment on!
If anyone wants to know about Libertarian principles, Judge Andrew Nepolitano did an excellent speech on it. It is an hour long but he espouses all of the libertarian principles.
@ landsnark, you said;
"A perfect example of laws that protect you from yourself for your own good are fisheries restrictions. No private business or personal fisherman is going to self impose limits on anything, or spend their own money to research why that would even be necessary. ALL aspects of fisheries research: public, university, private - are backed by PUBLIC funds, re: Tax revenue distributed via government. The upside, laws that keep our world in balance and food to keep our civilization alive. The downside, Gortons has to pay $0.02 more per package of fish sticks.
But what if 1 fisherman goes out of business!!??
BTW... Paulius, finding literally ANY perceived weakness in an outcome no matter the mountain of positive results doesn't make you Libertarian. It makes you argumentative. Our collective culture wants less public smoking. Your rebuttal? One person lost a home. That's too bad, but happily there are plenty of government programs and community programs and Liberal Democrats available to help him out."
You mean like this?
