As founders of our own nonprofit (http://onemoregeneration.org/) founded by elementary students, we agree with Philippe. We had been talking about issue prior to the BP oil spill but never seemed to get anyone to want to act. After we got involved and just headed down to the region to help out with the animal rescue efforts, we started to notice that we could now hold the audiences attention and they would listen to our suggestions for change.

Great job on the article and on explaining the message.
