Tried it out for the first time this week. Was very impressed with set-up, HH deals, and the tacos were great. Free pool, $1 Tecate, $2 tall boy PBR during HH (4-7pm). My two tacos were a lamb chorizo sausage wrapped in bacon with crispy onions and a spicy sauce, and a tempura baja fish with fresh red cabbage and cilantro n onions. Both huge, both super-tastey, 2 for $7. What's not to like there?
I'm sure some hyper-critical foodie D-bags will have something to say about this place (they always do...) To them I say tuck your Brooks Bro. shirt in, go eat at husk for the 3rd time this week en route to IOP for your beach day. This place is chill, friendly, good F&B at great price points. Should fit in nicely with the JI and FB crowds.
whatever happens, Sesame, promise us you'll find somewhere to keep hanging out in our hood.
Love, the WAsh
Haley, if not squashed too early-on in whatever national campaign she foolishly jumps into, will simply become the next Palin = a small-time politician with "the look" who, once put on the national stage, is instantly exposed as an ignorant, narrowly-focused, ideologue who really cant seem to make SPECIFIC points about anything important due to her lack of TRUE understanding of the complicated systems that try to regulate 100s of millions of Americans of all backgrounds, cultures, races, religions, etc.
When in doubt, Nikki, or if you cant say anything constructive or intelligent about a matter more complicated than you can handle....just throw a fit and say "lack of leadership, waaaahh!"
SHAM. These obstructionist republicans are in for a shellacking of a lifetime come election time. Adapt of die! Recognize the majority or get the fuck out of the way!
All three of those photos make the dishes (or paper plates) look disgusting... I'm sure they tasted better knowing the chefs involved.
Al Di La = best gnocchi in Charleston!
Pretty much the lamest opening line to a serious story I've read to date...followed by a popping your war cherry reference (classy)...then finishing his hat trick with a shameless plug of his own thrilling graphic novel to boot (I'm sure its earth-shattering)...aaaand dismount.
Someone more senior than Newbie actually approved this guy's nonchalant, blase' jokey writing style covering a story about local journalist entering into a REAL CURRENT civil war in one of the most dangerous places on earth right now. A-plus on tact and professional journalism here, ya nailed it.
As for the real story here, I sincerely appreciate these real journalists efforts and admire their drive and passion to cover real news in volatile and hostile environments. I hope they remain safe in contributing to a cause they believe in, and return to SC safely.
