Look at the picture! I don't see a kook! He is very experienced, polished surfer. I have seen beginners paddle out during hurricane swells at the Washout, floundering in the lineups while imposing a threat of physical harm to themselves and to others. His comments were probably taken out ot context. Just take both of their advice and go somewhere else to learn to surf and then think of coming to the Washout where its bigger than anywhere else on the beach. We all have had to pay our dues, even us surfers that have been surfing 35 years or more. We all are looking for RESPECT is all.
