I came across a restaurant.com coupon for the library and was so excited because i thought it was for the rooftop. we are always up for something new, so we thought we would go for it. It was very expensive and for a once-every-4-month date night for the parents of twin one yr olds, it was way too expensive for an unbudgeted meal. $135 should have been spent on diapers not on two entrees, two glasses of wine and an appetizer even after using a $25 dollar coupon. The chef did give us a complimentary bite of cumcumber soup, which was amazing. It was our favorite part of the meal. The staff was great and very friendly but we just wont go there again. Well, maybe if we win the lottery....but maybe not even then. The smell of garlic poured out of our skin for the rest of the day. The food had alot of flavor, but mostly just tons of garlic. I have to say that my husband ordered the steak and it was excellent.
Re: “Santi's”
the food is seriously great! we started at the one downtown. the service sucked but the food was so good, we went back. there is no doubt that they take forever and dont fill your glass near as much as Americans would prefer, but this is the only place i would say it is worth it. we moved closer to summerville and are ecstatic that there is one close, so for the past three years we have been happy customers. summerville isnt packed like downtown so we get much better service.
