To comment on the people complaining about taxi prices. Go to a bar that is closer to home. If you don't like the nightlife near home then move downtown. Can't afford downtown? Get a new job . If you can't get a new, job work your butt off so the next time you send in a resume the employer can't say no. The point is, society today is all about people wanting to be catered. Always complaining about something whether this is to expensive or that is to far etc etc etc. You are the controller of your actions, no one else.
There is a very simple solution that needs to be addressed. If you cannot afford a taxi to get home, then you should probably not be out in the first place. If anyone has stumbled out of the bar downtown you should see 5-10 taxis right away. There is absolutely no excuse for drinking and driving.
