I went there recently. The food was excellent, the service average (a few reminders to the server were needed to get things). I will go back for sure. Good gyoza and hotate sushi, in particular.
Nabe. We need Nabe.
I don't know all the CCP / BNP details.
However, it would be a relevant thing to know which local restaurants source locally. Shem Creek restaurants in particular should source from Shem Creek. I hope Shem Creek Bar and Grill gets their shrimp from the boats on the creek when possible (it's not always possible).
"In non-Stand Your Ground states, whites are 250 percent more likely to be found justified in killing a black person than a white person who kills another white person; in Stand Your Ground states, that number jumps to 354 percent."
In the USA blacks are 7 times more likely per capita to be arrested for murder than whites. Obviously, by your standard, this is because of bias in arrests.
Or, maybe blacks just commit more murders per capita? And maybe blacks are engaged in activities which result in lawful use of deadly force more often also? Maybe the two are even related?
I've had lots of discussions about "race in modern America" (which generally only refers to blacks and whites, apparently) with white Yankees, West Coasters and foreigners. All of them are absolute experts on what it's like to be black in the US, particularly in the South.
It's correct that in the South blacks and whites interact more and relate to each other better. But don't worry, people from MA, CT and OH and also the UK and further abroad will still tell us exactly what the problem is.
I found this link and thought it was interesting. If this data is out there, it would seem other data about police justifiable homicides would be also.
