I've totally had it with the racism and classism so rampant in Charleston, as well, but I think there's a big difference between the headcases that use drugs because they don't know what else to do with themselves and the ones that peddle them to fuel violent intentions. In fact, I'd say the thug blog is more about the violent criminal element than long, lost, languishing drug users. I'm super thankful you brought the site to my attention. I think it's a great idea. However, as with nearly all revolutionary platforms, it would most definitely need to be done with a great deal of discretion. There's real potential for such a platform to show both the public and the 'thugs' what's really going on and what they really look like. After all, thug culture developed over decades of educational and nutritional negligence. They're just not going to see things the same. I don't think the history of it needs to be harped on for too long...if at all, but if you want to fight the real battle at the root of the problems of their culture, your time would be better spent going after the educational and nutritional disparities their incomes force them to endure.

I sure hope you just used that title to get people to read because it's a bit of a stretch LOL! But the last paragraph and most of the points that lead up to it are absolutely and phenomenally DEAD on! The implications of our technology are widely unknown at this point, but the blatant profundity is an understatement. I think the solution is to covertly feed educational initiatives through the new preferred mediums: tv, apps, video games, internet. I see the drawbacks of the latest of the trends, but believe there will also be hidden perks to our new programming. And I think it's a good way to see just how smart the smart people really are. Love a challenge ;)

I'd personally like to thank you for spreading her sister's expressions. I don't have to totally understand her 'insights' to give them the same respect I'll give you for yours. I may have laughed out loud, at both of you lol, but New Age is new perspective and I'm all about it. Everyone has an audience. Sounds like she's not trying to do anything but some good. I'm sure you could find more pressing concerns to highlight. Looks like she did a fine job of filling your plausible minimum word requirement, too. I also don't see what Nikki's sister has to do with Nikki. Seems a bit of a stretch. But, again, cross promotional ploys such as this seem to work well for newspapers. I know you can do better :)
