Your point would only be relevant if your vegan friend had had an abortion. You can believe in the sanctity of life without wanting to take away the rights of others. Most vegetarians and vegans are not trying to push their beliefs on anyone else. They are simply making the *choice* that is right for them. There is nothing hypocritical about being pro-choice. The hypocrisy lies with the pro-lifers who are also pro-death penalty, pro-war, anti-birth control, and against helping the poor.
