If I could give Gene's negative stars I would.

A shame, because Gene's has a great beer selection and board games at every table is a neat concept. However, the entire staff is nothing but arrogant pretentious hipster losers that act like they are doing you a favor by giving you crappy service. I've had one or more of them be extremely rude to me and my friends almost every visit. I've had friendlier service at Dick's Last Resort. Not kidding.

The food is also very uninteresting. Honestly, there is really no reason to go there except for the large beer selection. If Gene's fired all of their employees and started over then I might consider giving it another shot. Until then I will be at Roost!

Who is making all these rankings? Charleston #1 City in the US? #1 in the World?? Kidding right?

These articles are either written by someone who has never left SC or by someone being paid top dollar by the Charleston Chamber of Commerce. Charleston is a nice place to visit and live, but it's not the nicest city in the USA, and definitely not the nicest city in the world. I love Charleston too but come on people....

I've been to every city in Mexico. I came across an unclaimed piece of meat in Baja, turned out to be Rosie. I guessed he picked a knife fight with somebody better. Found one of your passports to Sumatra, I missed you by about a week at Fiji. But, I knew you wouldn't miss the fifty year storm, Bodhi.
