For 100 years progressives have had an income tax in place and things have gotten worse instead of better. Their solution is more reforming of a bad idea. The real solution is returning to a consumption based tax. A maximum amount of money one can take home is the most ridiculous idea. Two things that would do for sc is solidify our spot in the nation as a bunch of backwards idiots, and help the traffic congestion on 26 since everyone would move out of the state.
This event WAS organized by Atlanta based events company, After Midnight Parties, and Greenville SC clothing company, Good Ole Boys. Anyone who thinks differently need to check out their wall post promoting that they will be providing DJs, Free Alcohol, a helicopter fly by, photographers, and more...all without permits or proper security to ensure no underage drinking was happening at their event. They heavily promoted the event throughout Atlanta, Athens, and Greenville. AMP has since removed their comment section on their Facebook page.

The people who were arrested went to jail and will have a fine and/ or court date for their crimes. However the ambitious out-of-town promoters who encouraged 3-4000 people to show up to 10th block got to go home and not suffer fines or jail time. Volunteers which also included the mayor and council members had to clean up trash which amounted to over 100 bags of garbage.
I am not in favor of the ban, but i think the promoters should have consequences.
I also think that alternatives to a ban should be explored such as the possibility to sale drinking permits, such as hunting and fishing permits are issued. easier to enforce...if you don't have a permit, the officer can sell you one onsite...if you don't want a permit, then they can confiscate your alcohol...no ticket issued. The price can be a premium....if you want to drink you can, but you need to pay to play since it is a privilege not a right.
