Thank you for telling us the unvarnished truth. We depend on you. Please don't stop. High five...fist bump!
If this is true, as Lindsay Graham asserts "...you cannot compel someone to enter into commerce..." then why are drivers compelled to buy insurance for their vehicles?
Is there a charge? tickets?
Well, what happens to people who point out that the white middle and upper classes of the South..."still have a hard time accepting certain sins of their forefathers and owning up to the current realities that those transgressions engender"? I assume you are referring to oppression, exclusion, discrimination and racism, the direct and virulent offspring of slavery. And how can any change be effected in those areas of overt and covert racism if certain individuals and political groups refuse to even consider or even slightly change their despicable attitudes and behavior? No regional magazine is suicidal enough to cover these problems? Must literature be our saving grace? And are we destined to write about it over and over and never see any progress?
There absolutely was not anything wrong on that tape...unless you are against diversity, equal rights and fairness. If you are that kind of person and you know how to take comments out of context and use the Southern Strategy of code words to energize voters, then you certainly could manufacture something wrong in the tape.
