A progressive idealist in an extremely conservative and religious surrounding. Not my ideal situation.

Re: “Godwin Falcon embodies the beers-and-bros ideal

Good dudes. Happy for them. I'm not bitter that my band didn't win at all......at all.... :*(

Re: “Skinful Halloween’s location is in limbo

What about the old Navy Yard? Wasn't it there before? Why did it change? I'm new.

Re: “College of Charleston president in the hospital for Lyme Disease

Because it's a political issue. The CDC is withholding the information. Lyme disease is a lifelong disease that can be treated with long-term intravenous antibiotics but it's not a "high dollar" treatment that would make insurance companies the $$$$. Most of the time doctors just prescribe 2 weeks of antibiotics and are mistreated. My wife was told that she couldn't have lyme disease because it isn't in SC, as if there is a magical fence that the ticks/disease can't cross. There are documentaries explaining the mishandling of this deadly disease; "Under Our Skin" and "Lymelife" are widely known.

Re: “CLOSINGS: Cesca, Bubba Slye's, 17 North, Abe's

I thought 17 North was great. My wife and I had only veen there once since it was so expensive but it was well worth. The other one that was on Janes Island was a different story.
