This whole article is biased and stupid. I mean, the guy screwed up and didn't follow the rules, then the author somehow turns the rest of the article into an open mic for Legare to slam Anna Johnson and plug his campaign. The city paper and the post and courier both do it, somehow turn a headline about his failure into a positive spin, it almost pays for Legare to fail so they have an excuse to give him publicity, it's just weird. I guess the good news is they did the same thing in 2010 with Legare and he got destroyed, guess they're not as influential as they think. No wonder they have to give the City Paper away for free, based on the value of it's reporting.
Legare won 61% of the district-wide vote, not nearly as much as he needed to. Kenny Todd didn't have the resources to put anything west of Bees Ferry so no big surprise there. The story is that Legare lost 46% of his backyard Johns Island vote to a guy that appeared from nowhere when Legare has his nose in everything and was a former candidate. SCVOTES. you can check the precinct reports. Now who did their homework?
That's BS that the anti-526 crowd elected Anna Johnson in 2010, Legare has been your boy for years. He lost 46% of Johns Island Republicans in the primary to a guy that came from nowhere, had no money and what few signs he had said "I'm for I-526" and he still won 46%! That's not even the commuting/working crowd that votes in primaries, it's the oldster crowd that Legare should own. To lose 46% of white-hair Republicans some of Legare's own friends must have voted against him! An imbecile sees a win by Legare, a strategist sees a guy with an unbridgeable divide with half his own party, in a district that leans toward the other party. UH OH!
We need something more like this
If we are going to get the scene started in Charleston we need a real headliner that does some serious trance, not this guy who sounds like he's mixing bad rap beats and sounds from super mario bros. These people look bored to tears and rightfully so. People willing to come out and give electronic music a chance will be driven away by this crap. Give me Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, ATB....somebody with a more upbeat sound.
