I cannot believe some of these comments -- I am so thankful that Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack exists for Mt. Pleasant folks -- we thoroughly enjoy going there - the staff is so friendly -- we walk thru the door and by the time we sit down at our table, our drinks are there (we don't have to order, the staff remembers). The owners, Ronnie & Kim Johnson, always work the room -- meaning they stroll by and visit with everyone.
The music is awesome (most of the time) -- Ronnie & Kim Johnson are awesome -- Such great entertainers and just really nice folks -- Sometimes, Ronnie & Kim will not be performing, but have others (I prefer Ronnie & Kim).
We enjoy dancing --always great music for dancing.
Also, we do eat there quite a bit -- the food is great --(one needs to enjoy Southern cooking)--they have awesome shrimp and their hamburger with pimento cheese is to die for.
Thank you, Ronnie & Kim Johnson for providing such a friendly, safe and entertaining establishment in Mt. Pleasant.

Re: “Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack”
My husband (Boyd) and I love to go to Buddy Roe's --- the atmosphere is one of being at home --- very friendly -- reminds one of the bar on "Cheers" where everyone knows your name ---
Kim & Ronnie are great -- they always make everyone feel so at home -- they go around and speak to everyone there -- the staff cannot be better -- just great. It is so nice that as soon as you walk in the door, the waitress is on her way to you with your wine. I love it.
Great food -- their pimento cheese hamburgers are awesome -- homemade pimento cheese by Kim.
Music: you are not going to get any better --Ronnie is so talented -- plays and sings very well, but also has a great personality. And Kim is a great entertainer also.
There is always a nice variety of music -- we are big "shaggers" and he always accommodates us --
In case, you cannot tell, Buddy Roe's is one of our very favorite places to go -- only issue that we have is that most nights, the music does not start until 9:00pm and we are about ready to go home by then (we are of the older generation, but still love to have a good time.)
Buddy Roe's is highly recommended by the Loadholts -- Ronnie & Kim, we love you.
