In as much as "the (federal) charges don't rise to the level of necessitating a suspension", and being a veteran who held a security clearance, I strongly believe a government official (elected or appointed) should be disqualified from running for office or removed from office when their offenses, if committed by a cleared member of the military or a government employee, would be cause for stripping their security clearance. Makes sense? This one rule would clean up much of the corruption problem in our state house and hold people accountable for questionable behavior.
...OK, Will may sound leftist, but he only has a given amount of page space to get you riled up! I'm waiting for the other side to deny that any of what Will says is true! ...Come on... "I Can't Hear Youuuuu!!!!!" Disagree, that's fine, but come up with another explanation for the state of our state.
Just like the do-nothing board of the CSO "flushing" away 75 years of great music in Charleston by being more interested in getting THEIR names in the programs rather than insuring there would be MORE MUSIC in the program; our politicians are repainting the names on their parking spaces, their office doors, and their shiny, brass desk plates rather than reading and re-writing old legislation that DOES NOT WORK FOR THIS STATE! Nikki WHO? WTH are we thinking?? I see her as a right-wing puppet (Like W.) to do what ever the out-of-state, national agenda people who funded her campaign tell her to do. WE NEED WIKI-LEAKS in South Carolina to show the dismal truth about the "back door" deals made in and around our state house to continue the 'status quo'.
somebody find me and we'll make a unique movie-going experience work here on the waterfront... This whole building needs a marketing overhaul. I've never seen ONE billboard or advert for this place. there are too many shuttered windows in our downtown districts. If a run-down Waffle House can be converted to a Mex eatery and thrive next to a working scrap metal yard, why can't we have a downtown upscale silver-screen?!
