I ate there once: hated it. I gave it a second chance: the food was mediocre but the service was horrendous. I gave it a third chance at the bar this time, beautiful bar, but the fish wasn't fresh (I'm a chef, and I could definitely tell). I couldn't believe I gave it another chance, and it was perfect. I'll go there again because I like the bar and the sake sangria. However, one good out of four tries, means two stars.

I've eaten at many many Japanese restaurants as sushi is one of my favorite foods. In Charleston, there are great places around to eat sushi. I prefer Bushido because it ranks with the top places to eat while the prices are great! The staff is fantastic, and the menu is dynamic; truly it is a place where I can go often and still be pleasantly surprised when my waitress suggests her favorite sushi roll or appetizer. It is a hidden gem in a sea of sushi restaurants.
