Every time I've been to the Oyster Room, they've had several fine cold water and/or local alternatives to the Gulf oysters.
A club named after the morning-after pill failed? Who could've seen that coming...
I'm confused at all the confusion by this reviewer, especially regarding decor. I've always enjoyed the music there as well. Food can be hit or miss anywhere, I've had great oysters on the half shell here a few times. Overall, I think this place is a great new alternative on Folly.
Oh, and "cut in half at an angle"? You mean cut on bias? No wonder she reminded you how many were in a half dozen.
