Having lived in California for over 30 years I've experienced them all;Landers,Whittier Narrows and Northridge earthquakes as well as the famous Loma Prieta quake that happened on-air during the 1989 World Series.These were all magnitude 7 and up with The Landers quake being a 7.7....
There are rollers which are not so bad and there are shakers which are quite scary.As long as a building doesn't collapse on you-they're actually somewhat fun..
