Re: “Medal of Honor Society plans to build $100M museum at Patriots Point

A Medal of Honor Museum for all branches of the miltary should not be built in a Navy-oriented location. Somewhere near Arlington Cemetery in Virginia would be more appropriate.

Also, when this $100 million musuem in Mount Pleasant starts losing money, the taxpayers of South Carolina will most assuredly will be asked to bail it out. Don't pay any attention to insincere assurances to the contrary made now in order to get public support.

Re: “Glenn McConnell shows Nikki Haley who's boss

It is true. After observing "reporters" mix facts, opinions, and occasional falsehoods for more than a decade, I have no clue what it means to be a reporter.

Re: “Glenn McConnell shows Nikki Haley who's boss

My goodness, the reporter sure uses a lot of words to say he doesn't like the governor.

By the way, column indicates that we have a $6 billion state government budget. As you can see at the link below, the correct figure is $21.8 billion.

http://www.scstatehouse.gov/sess119_2011-2…

The reporter might say he was focusing on state appropriated dollars, as if the remaining $16 billion in fees, gasoline taxes, lottery proceeds, and federal funds were not worthy of mention.

Re: “Haley and Walmart pull one over on small biz coalition that stopped Amazon

Nationwide, people flock to Wal Mart seeking jobs. They would not do so if they had better options.

Most mom and pop businesses do not offer a better option for employees than Wal Mart.

Mom and pops usually do not provide health benefits or 401k plans or career opportunities. Wal Wal Mart provides all of the above.

Re: “Sheheen endorsed by Herald-Journal, notes Haley's 'problematic' use of her office for personal gain

The views of newspaper editors and Republican leaders mean nothing to the rabble that supports Nikki Haley. The insular world of the elites will soon come crashing down.
