Salsa nite has been discontinued on saturdays for months now, why is this still not updated. I've never tried the restaurant, this is not a review of the restaurant. Salsa nite used to be awesome but last I heard, it was moved elsewhere.
Fish and chips: $19. Are you kidding- in this economy? JI will not support another overpriced restaurant like this, most particularly if the food is not simply exceptional to back it up. Nectar failed in the same location prior to Palmetto Ale-decent food but overpriced. News flash- JI is not a mecca of well heeled yuppies looking for another upscale dining experience. Nor is the crowd headed to and from folly beach every weekend- think more taco boy or maybe middle of the road seafood. This place wont last a year. Nothing against Mr McKee, he has a well deserved rep as a fine chef, just dont think he's found his niche there on folly rd for this particular pricey menu.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that while you allegedly stay in shape for the missus and want to keep the ole spark alive, she has let herself go and couldnt care less about her appearance, your opinion, or whether you ever get sex again. The fact you dont just demand it (not advocating wife rape here mind you) tells me exactly who is wearing the pants in this broken marriage. She may be "getting it elsewhere" as was suggested. More likely she's just too jaded and lazy to even want it anymore. Romance her for months and hope she comes around? I dont think so. Even if it worked and she gave it up an unbelievable 3 times in one month for your gallant efforts, you'll be back to square one in a few months w someone who just doesnt like to bump uglies now that she's pushing the 4-0.
You've got a lot of years of life left in you. Time to sit her down and air all this out, tell her it cant go on like this, you dont want to cheat or divorce but you need more sex and something is going to have to change. In your case even once a week would be a huge improvement. Convincing her on the head thing- you're on your own on that one. Good luck!
