I'm a total bookworm, too. I admit, I do have many unread books. Problem is I have so many good ones to choose from, and I always find myself asking, what do I read next, whilst having to choose from at least 3-4 different picks. But, I read constantly...I don't read 1 book a month, I read a handful.
Forgot to say earlier that the proceeds went to MUSC for people with hypertension, etc. Creature Boy Brian Steele organized the event.
I watched the Hell House documentary a few months ago. How genius it is to use this on the night of Halloween. When will people learn that this night is NOT associated with "Satan" or "Hell"? Don't try to scare people into it.
Some of the hell house visitors made good comments on the doc I watched. If you're easily offended by Christian beliefs and life paths, it might not be for you. Jesus is the saviour of mankind, but so are we. "Look inside yourself, and you will find me".
Well, I was there, and I was, an undead. I had just come from CSO when an outbreak occured and I was infected....
There were a lot of people there, but I too, would like to know how much money was raised. I definitely hope that we will have another Z walk soon. It was great to see Shawn of the Dead, and the Umbrella Corporation / Raccoon City Police along with 28 Weeks Later Z's.
By the way, my group scared more than a few people on the way to the gathering. And I loved it!
I am glad to know that I was able to see him perform on more than one occasion. You were incredible, David. See you in the next life.
Okay people, just lighten up. I'm a pagan, and I can definitely tell you that pumpkins don't have anything to do with it. Paganism isn't anti-christian; it predates it! Churches don't believe in celebrating Halloween (known to us as Samhain) but they do have "harvest festivals" or, "homecoming festivals". Harvest festivals are of course, an ancient pagan way of life, but the churches don't celebrate it that way. Actually, the three harvest festivals have already passed.
Another thing a lot of people don't know is that the original Jack-O-Lantern wasn't a pumpkin, but a turnip. Look it up.
Personally, I think the churches take all the fun out of Halloween.
