It appears that Momma Brown's BBQ has closed as well.
Andolini's is not very good. The pizza is greasy and bland. I have a yet to find a great pizza joint in the Charleston area. Anyone that has been to Asheville and eaten at Marco's knows what good pizza is.
Re: “Wasabi - Daniel Island”
I have been to Wasabi @ DI for lunch and dinner. First lunch: outstanding value. Most lunch specials come with miso soup, a salad and drink. Many of the lunch offerings are under $10. I had the sushi combination and it was great. The salad was especially good. This was a mixed green salad with a super house dressing on it. None of that orange ginger dressing on nasty white iceberg lettuce. The soup is good, not great but much better than some other local offerings. I got the combo with a spicy tuna roll and 4 pieces of nigiri. The nigiri was very fresh and tasty. The spicy tuna roll was fairly standard but good.
Dinner: We had 2 special rolls (SC Crunch and Scam). Both were very good and the scam roll had just a touch of spiciness. Surprisingly they were out of toro which seemed strange to me but offered white tuna nigiri as a substitute. It was good but I like toro better.
The service was very good both times.
