Can someone try to explain the conservative stance against medical marijuana to me?
As far as I can tell, they seem to think that big government sucks, except when they are getting between you and your doctor and negatively impacting your health, well-being and personal freedom.
So really, are they morons or just hypocritical a**holes?

Thanks to the City Paper and Greg Baynes for focusing on the medical marijuana issue here in SC.
The issue is steadily gaining ground across the state and there is a simple way for all of us to make ourselves heard on the issue.
The SC MEDICAL MARIJUANA MOVEMENT has launched a STATE-WIDE PETITION campaign that will support legislator Todd Rutherford's efforts to get a medical marijuana bill passed.

We are trying to bring them all together effectively and can with your help.
Kudos to Representative Todd Rutherford for standing up for suffering patients who could benefit from medical marijuana.
Marijuana is good medicine. Doctors have figured this out and one day soon our politicians will too.

Funny to think our bike theft problem would be any worse than Boston or DC where they are successfully implementing bike sharing programs.
Obviously, these programs are a big investment but so are most worthwhile endeavors.
We appreciate the City Paper for bringing positive attention to these forward-thinking efforts from around the country.
